Somewhere I have, or have had, a book called The Pollen Path, which is a collection of Navajo creation stories. Pollen is a source of life and therefore sacred. The Pollen Path then is a symbolic journey toward the sacred.
Or something like that.
My photo today is of a tire on my car that has turned yellow from just driving around on my normal paths to and from work. There is that much pollen coming down from the pine trees right now. It may be a source of life, but it is also a source of sneezes. This is a rough time of year for the allergic.
Still, there is a certain beauty to the flecks of yellow scattered about our drab late-winter days. The pollen is carrying us forward toward new life. Let’s all be thankful for the Pollen Path.
