I set up a new blog today. A girl can never have too many blogs. This one is called Journally Imagery, and it’s a photoblog of only things I want to share with students as writing prompts.

I used Posterous for this rather than WordPress because I need this blog to operate the quick and easy way. I’m uploading images to Flickr and emailing the links to Posterous where they are auto-formatted and posted. I’ll probably put together a WordPress photo site at some point when I decide I want a real portfolio, but that’s not what this is for. It’s just a separate little place to keep the pictures I want to use with students and the ones I want to share on the Journally site.

This blog is part of my regular Posterous account that I use for sending pictures and such from my phone. It’s already set up to automatically post to multiple places, which is why some of the same pictures I’ve already posted on this blog before came through again today. It’s just part of getting established with the new playroom.

I think I’m going to like photoblogging with Posterous. No doubt I’ll let you know if I change my mind.

Now back to work. This has all just been a short commercial break from my day of slaving away at a writing project. Slaving at least in the loosest sense of the word.
